Born in Maia, Susana Santos Godinho is 31 years old and will be Portugal's representative at the 2024 Paris Olympics Marathon.
A specialist in the middle and back ground, the athlete who represents Recreio Desportivo de Águeda obtained the Olympic minimums for 2023 at the Valencia Marathon with a final time of 2h25m35s. This result made her the eighth fastest Portuguese ever in the marathon, behind only the likes of Rosa Mota, Jéssica Augusto, Salomé Rocha, Sara Moreira, Marisa Barros, Manuela Machado and Dulce Félix.
As well as being a professional athlete, Susana combines her preparation with her job as a physiotherapist, further proof of her resilience.
