    As a kid, he used to watch his father play and wait for him to hit a few balls with him at the end. He went on to become the best Portuguese tennis player ever, and the first to win the Estoril Open in 2018. This unprecedented feat in the history of the sport earned him the 48th place in the world ranking, a tribute in his hometown and a commendation from the Portuguese Parliament.
