Catalin Chirila is a canoe sprint athlete from Romania representing his country in the 2024 Olympic Games. He has been dedicated to this sport for over 12 years, primarily competing in the C1 and C2 (500m and 1000m) categories.

In 2022, he claimed the World and European champion titles in the C1-1000m event. In 2023, he added the World Championship title in the C1-500m category, along with a silver in the C1-1000m event, securing his spot in the 2024 Olympic Games.

Furthermore, in 2023, he was honored as Romania’s Sportsman of the Year.
