• David Rosa

    Cycling / mountain biking

David Rosa is the great-nephew of the little shepherds Jacinta and Francisco, and he got into mountain biking through the influence of some cousins, attracted by sport, competition and nature. His first bike was given to him by his grandfather and the next one, more suitable for competition, was bought with the money he collected from clearing brambles.

His father, a Physical Education teacher, was his first "coach". He graduated in Sports Science and today he has a long list of national and international titles to his name, having been the first Portuguese XCO cyclist to take part in the Olympic Games. At the 2011 National Championships, he competed with a lung infection and still finished in first place.
