    Capoeira

    Since his childhood he had been involved in martial arts and it was in sport that he felt fulfilled. In 2013 he was recognized as a Capoeira Master.

    President and founder of the Capoeira Beija-Flor Group founded in 1998, in 2005 he founded the Associação Desportiva e Cultural Capoeira Beija-Flor, a gymnasium in a social neighborhood with a strong social focus through sports, with protocols and partnerships with various entities, such as the Lisbon City Council and the Marvila Parish Council. He has taken part in several television programs. He has appeared in several Portuguese and international films, soap operas and television series.

    In 2003 he took part in the Laureus Sports Awards at the Estoril Casino.

    In 2007 he won the collective distinction award at the Goldnutrition Gala at the Estoril casino.

    He is a Jiu-Jitsu and M.M.A (Mixed martial arts) instructor at Nóbrega Team.

    In 2010 he won the Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu Cup.

    In 2011 he was National Jiu-Jitsu Champion.

    He has taken various training courses in the field of sport and fitness, bodybuilding and cardio-fitness instructor, Spinnig instructor, personal trainer, localization instructor, nutrition, sports massage and relaxation. He graduated in Physical Education in 2015. He was general coordinator of a large gym in Lisbon.

    He travels all over Europe every year to take part in events, give Capoeira courses and lectures. He has organized more than 20 international Capoeira events. He participates in lectures to give his testimony about the profound deafness he developed as an adult, mainly to parents with children with this difficulty so that they realize that there are no limitations that cannot be overcome.

    He has been honored with several awards at various sports galas promoted by the Marvila Parish Council as an Athlete and for his work of excellence on behalf of the community, work that involves children, young people, adults and the elderly. He is the promoter of a pioneering project in the city of Lisbon at the Marvila Senior University with personalized training for the elderly in the parish.

    He has been surfing since he was 12.

    A true lover of sport, of life and of helping others.

    He dedicates his life to helping others and giving them a better quality of life.

    Suffering from a polyarticular degenerative disease and having gone deaf as an adult, he is a true force of nature and an example of overcoming, fighting every day to overcome his limitations and maintain his physical condition.
